Peptides are precise tools for research — and they only work as well as they're made. Here's how Betaforma compounds are produced and validated.
Solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS)
Each peptide is built one residue at a time on a solid resin support using Fmoc chemistry. Coupling and deprotection cycles are controlled to optimize purity and minimize side products.
Cleavage and lyophilization
After cleavage from resin, crude peptide is purified by reverse-phase HPLC, then lyophilized to a stable, sterile-filtered white powder under controlled vacuum.
HPLC purity verification
Every lot is tested by analytical reverse-phase HPLC. We release only material reading ≥99% purity at the principal peak.
Mass spectrometry confirmation
ESI-MS or MALDI-TOF confirms the expected molecular mass for each compound, matching the theoretical sequence within 1 Da.
Endotoxin and residual solvent screening
Lots are screened for endotoxin via LAL assay and for residual organic solvents below ICH Q3C limits before release.
